The parliament will vote on the Association Agreement with Ukraine, aimed at improving ties between the EU and its eastern neighbour.
MEPs will also debate the on-going situation in Ukraine following the announcement of a ceasefire by pro-Russian rebels on the 5th September.
ECR foreign affairs spokesman Charles Tannock has been a long-standing friend of Ukraine who believes the EU should take firm action to ensure her territorial integrity is restored, and to replace aggression with dialogue.

Russian ban on food products

Following Russia’s decision to retaliate against EU sanctions, MEPs will debate the impact on the European economy, and especially on farmers.
ECR vice-president of the agriculture committee Janusz Wojciechowski proposed this debate in order to ask the commission what measures it plans to take to mitigate the impact of the ban.

The Middle East

Debates will be held on the deteriorating security situation in Libya, the brutal efforts of ISIS to create a caliphate in Iraq and Syria, and the recent conflict in Palestine.
