On Sunday, 22 July, Oswaldo Payá, informal Cuban opposition leader, tragically died in a traffic accident. According to the Czech MEP Edvard Kožušník, who is one of the few Czech politicians who knew Oswaldo Payá in person, this loss is a severe blow to the Cuban democratic opposition.
