Tackling Islamic Extremism

EU Counter Terrorism Co-ordinator Gilles de Kerchove is the keynote speaker at an event, “Antidote to Islamic Extremism”, taking place in the European Parliament. Organised by the International Organisation to Preserve Human Rights and sponsored by the ECR Group, it will be hosted by British MEP Geoffrey Van Orden. Journalists are invited.

Sky News’ Ocean Rescue Campaign

British MEP Julie Girling is co-hosting a screening in the European Parliament of the Sky News documentary “A Plastic Tide”. Sky News producer Helen-Ann Smith will discuss the broadcaster’s campaign and the event is followed by a cocktail reception.

E-card – helping businesses provide services across the EU

MEPs in the internal market committee will hold an exchange of views on the Commission’s impact assessment on proposals to introduce a services E-card that will further help businesses to provide services across the EU. ECR MEP Anneleen Van Bossuyt will be the parliament’s rapporteur on the proposals.
