On Thursday, ECR MEP Șerban Dimitrie Sturdza will host a roundtable conference focused on the integration of young people into the labour market—an issue that presents both significant challenges and opportunities.

The debate is driven by profound transformations in the labour market, alongside increasing pressure on education systems. In this context, vocational education and training must emerge as a strategic pillar to strengthen Europe’s capacity to produce, innovate, and fully harness its human potential.

The event will address a critical question not only for Romania’s economic future, but for Europe as a whole: how to transition from a consumption-driven model to one grounded in value creation, skills, and long-term stability.

Bringing together students, representatives of leading technical and vocational institutions from Romania, education experts, and Members of the European Parliament, the discussion aims to amplify the voices of young people and education professionals at the European level.
