Joanna Kopcińska: ECDC to be strengthened with lessons learnt from the pandemic

According to ECR Rapporteur MEP Joanna Kopcińska, the adoption of an extended mandate for the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) by the European Parliament is based on the facts that “no country is able to deal with a cross-border public health crisis on its own, while at the same time the pandemic crisis first of all highlighted the importance of a quick local response.”

EU Common Charger: Less hassle for end-consumers

From 2024 on, Europeans will enjoy the benefits of a single USB-C standard charger for mobile phones, tablets, digital cameras, handheld video game consoles, portable navigation systems and e-readers. From 2026 on, the same will apply for laptops.
