ECR Group celebrates no transnational lists in new distribution of European Parliament seats

The ECR Group is pleased that the new distribution of seats proposed by the Council and adopted today by the European Parliament ignores the strong efforts made in the past by the centralist political groups to introduce transnational lists and to reserve 28 additional seats for Members elected in a Union-wide constituency.

Zdzisław Krasnodębski (ECR Group): EDIRPA is the start of more realism

European lawmakers have broadly adopted the report by ECR co-rapporteur Zdzisław Krasnodębski on the European Defence Industry Reinforcement through Common Procurement Act (EDIRPA), a short-term instrument earmarked with 300 million Euro and designed to encourage Member States to jointly procure defence products and help supply arms to Ukraine.
