Events such as the Jew-baiting in Amsterdam following a football match last week are sadly no longer a rarity in Europe. In a debate MEP Bert-Jan Ruissen said: "The deplorable events in Amsterdam are not isolated incidents. They fit into a pattern of increasing hatred of Jews and are strongly fuelled by Muslim extremists and left-wing activists, an ominous coalition of groups that together have created a particularly explosive anti-Semitic climate."
