Based in the European Parliament in Brussels, we are looking for someone to be responsible for creating and enhancing campaigns that go beyond traditional media and put digital at their core.
Create an integrated digital and content strategy that promotes the work of the ECR Group and its elected members in line with the vision and communication strategy of the Group.
Provide insight and advice on digital and social media strategy.
Create a regular flow of meaningful, impactful and engaging digital content that supports the wider goals of the Group and its elected members.
Monitor, control and report the impact and performance of campaigns on key audiences.
Inform the strategic thinking on the Group’s wider communication and political strategy.
Monitor and identify issues and opportunities that promote the values of the group and its elected members.
Have a creative mind-set and a proactive attitude with the ability to advise elected Members and senior staff, while also understanding the priorities and specific requirements of a political organisation.
Excellent judgement, prioritisation and attention to detail.
Ability to work within a fast paced working environment and remain calm under the pressure of a changing political context and tight deadlines.
Understanding of the ‘bigger picture’ and ability to evolve plans and ideas.
Desire to further knowledge in the continually changing area of digital communications and campaigns.
Qualification in communication, digital media and/or proven experience in digital communication strategy development and implementation.
Three to five years professional experience in digital communications.
Thorough knowledge of design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
Photography and video filming and editing skills an advantage.
Solid understanding of social media and influencer engagement, SEO and digital analytics.
Strong oral and written communication skills in English with experience authoring and publishing high quality communication content.
Experience with innovative digital communications campaigns which integrate with traditional channels.
Ability to think broadly about communications strategy.
Knowledge of European Union politics an advantage but not essential.
Willing to travel, at least once per month to Strasbourg, and on other missions.
