On Tuesday, ECR MEP Kris van Dijck will host a meeting of mayors, local leaders and MEPs from across Europe to discuss the future of nuclear energy.

After years of nuclear phase-out policies, Europe is beginning to see a shift. Belgium has extended the lifetime of two nuclear reactors. Italy has approved a legal framework to return to nuclear power. The European Commission is also giving nuclear energy a stronger place in its energy strategy.

These are changes the ECR has long called for. At this event, we are bringing local leaders together to discuss how nuclear energy can contribute to Europe’s energy security, competitiveness and future.
