Ground handling services and air passenger rights

Offshore oil and gas
MEPs on the industry committee will vote on an agreement to improve the safety of offshore oil and gas installations in the EU, following on from the Gulf of Mexico disaster. ECR shadow rapporteur Vicky Ford had managed to amend, line-by-line, the proposal so that it promotes much stronger standards in Europe, without prescriptive legislation that would have cost the industry untold sums that would have been passed on to consumers.
