The ECR Group have today welcomed a new Italian member, Stefano Maullu, who has left the EPP Group in order to join us. He will sit in the same delegation as the ECR Group's two other MEPs, Raffaele Fitto and Remo Sernagiotto.

ECR Group admits new Italian member

The ECR Group have today welcomed a new Italian member, Stefano Maullu, who has left the EPP Group in order to join us. He will sit in the same delegation as the ECR Group’s two other MEPs, Raffaele Fitto and Remo Sernagiotto.

Speaking after the decision was taken, ECR Group co-Chair Ryszard Legutko said:

“On behalf of the whole Group I am delighted to welcome Stefano Maullu into the ECR. He shares our vision for a reformed EU that places Member States back at the centre of decisions and an EU that does less, but does it better.”

Stefano Maullu, who in Italy is a party member of Fratelli d’Italia, said:

“The ECR Group are the only credible force for reform of the EU and I am looking forward to working with them as we work together to restore the balance of power between Brussels and Member States.”
