ECR Group Co-Chairs Nicola Procaccini and Patryk Jaki congratulate MEP Adam Bielan on his election as President of the European Conservatives and Reformists Party.
ECR Group Co-Chair Nicola Procaccini said:
“I warmly congratulate Adam on his election. He has been a key figure in our political family for many years and brings enormous political experience. I wish him every success in this important role.
“At a time when Europe needs a change of direction, a strong conservative movement offering serious, practical alternatives is more important than ever. I am confident that under Adam’s leadership, the ECR Party will continue to grow and make the case for a Europe of common sense.”
ECR Group Co-Chair Patryk Jaki said:
“I am very pleased to see Adam elected President of the ECR Party. He knows our political family well and has a very clear sense of the challenges Europe is facing.
“We Conservatives have an important task before us. We must stand up for the right of nations to decide their own future, restore economic dynamism and resist the constant transfer of powers to Brussels. I am confident that the ECR Party, under his leadership, will continue to grow in influence and champion these priorities across Europe.”
Adam Bielan is a Member of the European Parliament and Head of the Polish Delegation in the ECR Group. He is the ECR Coordinator in the Committee on Foreign Affairs and serves as Chair of the European Parliament’s Delegation for relations with Japan and as a Member of the Delegation for relations with the countries of Southeast Asia and ASEAN.
Mr Bielan was elected unanimously by the ECR Party’s governing board at a meeting in Dubrovnik on Saturday. His election is due to be formally ratified by the next ECR Party Council.
