The European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) Group in the European Parliament warmly congratulates José Antonio Kast on his election as President of Chile.

ECR Co-Chairman Nicola Procaccini said:

“This is a great day for Chile and an encouraging moment for all who believe in freedom and democratic renewal. José Antonio Kast’s victory shows that citizens want security in their daily lives, firm action on migration and leadership that takes their concerns seriously. We congratulate him wholeheartedly and wish him every success as President.”

ECR Co-Chairman Patryk Jaki said:

“The Chilean people have delivered a clear and decisive message. They voted for safety, order and responsible migration policies, and against ideological extremism. This election shows that freedom and democratic responsibility remain powerful forces in Latin America. We congratulate President Kast and stand firmly with those who defend these values.”
