He said:

“David Cameron has negotiated changes that are not just about the UK, but about wider EU reform, with the power for national parliaments to block EU proposals and a stronger commitment to open markets, freer trade and less red tape. The whole EU will benefit from this agreement in the long run.

“Now the debate can really begin in the UK, and the British people will be able to decide whether they are better off staying under these new terms, or better off leaving.

“The EU has multiple crises mounting up on migration, the euro, terrorism and conflicts in our neighbourhood. For the next few months the ‘British question’ is out of EU politicians’ hand. It is time to tackle these many other crises with the same sense of urgency and cooperation to find
