The surge of Karol Nawrocki into the decisive second round of Poland's presidential election has given citizens new hope of a return to conservative and reformist values in the country, ECR Group Co-Chairs Patryk Jaki and Nicola Procaccini said.

Mr Jaki said:

“Karol Nawrocki’s strong result is testament to his dogged persistence and his relentlessly positive campaign to put Poles back in charge of their destiny.

“Despite all the disinformation, the lies and the distractions engineered by Tusk’s failing government, Karol Nawrocki has demonstrated his resilience and the depth of his support among ordinary people.

“I’m confident more Poles will swing behind his leadership and his agenda for change as we move towards the second round.”
