Polish Law and Justice Delegation following react to the tragedy of flight MH17. The plane has been shot down at a height of 10.000 meters, and that fact proves usage of an advanced weapon.
Members of Law and Justice Delegation in the European Parliament strongly condemn the unprecedented act of aggression, i.e. shooting down of the civic aircraft near Donetsk in Eastern Ukraine. The plane has been shot down at a height of 10.000 meters, and that fact proves usage of an advanced weapon.
Members of the Law and Justice Delegation in the European Parliament have expressed their sincere condolences to all families of the victims of the tragic flight MH17. The tragedy was a shock for world public opinion and requires a firm reaction. Therefore, we appeal to the international community to take immediate action to determine the reasons for the tragedy and who was responsible. We support the idea of an international investigation with full access to the wreckage as well as to other key evidence elements, inter alia “black box” flight recorders.
Furthermore, we call for an extraordinary session of the European Parliament in accordance with art. 146 (4) of the EP rules of procedures. With the long-running Russian aggression against Ukraine, the event should be immediately included on the agenda of the European Parliament.
– Ryszard Legutko MEP, Chairman of the Law and Justice Delegation
