Towards a strategic approach to cultural heritage

On Monday, the Committee on Culture and Education is going to debate Dace Melbarde’s report on “achieving an effective policy legacy for the European Year of Cultural Heritage”. The report emphasises the need for a more coordinated approach to preserving and promoting cultural heritage. It also highlights the value of digital cultural heritage and discusses the role of cultural heritage on the economy, as the EU has a significant share of cultural tourism.

Biodiversity Strategy

The Agriculture and Rural Development Committee is going to hold an exchange of views over the recently proposed EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030 with Environment, Oceans and Fisheries Commissioner Virginijus Sinkevičius.
