Due to the coronavirus protection measures the European Parliament will not travel to Strasbourg but hold an extraordinary mini-plenary session in Brussels on Thursday 26 March.
MEPs who cannot travel will be able to vote remotely from home. “The measures the European Parliament has taken take due account of the seriousness of the situation”, ECR co-chair Ryszard Legutko said.
Only three urgent proposals of the European Commission will be debated and voted on: The Coronavirus Response Investment Initiative, financial assistance to Member States and countries negotiating their accession to the Union to cover public health emergencies and a law stopping “ghost flights” caused by the Coronavirus outbreak.
The ECR Group supports decisive action to protect citizens and the economies of EU Member States.
