Circular economy
The European Commission is due to publish its long-awaited package of legislation to create a circular economy that is less resource intensive. The proposals will be presented to the plenary of the parliament. ECR shadow rapporteur on the proposals Mark Demesmaeker MEP believes that with the right legislation in place Europe can build a more competitive economy that is also more sustainable for the environment.

Terrorism, Europol and PNR
The civil liberties committee will vote on an agreement reached between MEPs and EU governments to boost EUROPOL’s ability to tackle terrorist threats. The committee will also hear a report back from Passenger Name Records (PNR) rapporteur Timothy Kirkhope, and it will meet with the EU’s Counter-terrorism coordinator Gilles de Kerchove to discuss the ongoing threat.
