3rd - 7th February. On Monday, the ECR welcomes new Members. The ECR Group is organising its first International Conference on Maritime Security and the Blue Economy. A Conference on traditional European family values will take place. Read on for more details.
Maritime Security and the Blue Economy
On Wednesday, the ECR Group is holding the first ECR International Conference on Maritime Security and the Blue Economy, which aims to look at challenges and opportunities of security in our seas and oceans, and the future of maritime trade from both a European and Transatlantic perspective. Economic activities related to our coastal areas, oceans and seas (known as the Blue Economy), is a significant industry in Europe, generating €174 billion in revenue. This growing sector, has outpaced the growth of national economies over the last decade, and today prosperity at sea is linked to innovation.

ECR welcomes new MEPs
On Monday, with the redistribution of seats within the European Parliament following the departure of the UK from the EU, ECR welcomes its new Members, Mr Sergio Berlato from Italy, Margarita de la Pisa from Spain, and Dominik Tarczynski from Poland.
Conference on traditional European family values
On Tuesday, ECR MEP Andrey Slabakov is hosting a conference on traditional European family values. Mr. Bogdan Patashev, Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Holy See in the Vatican, will give the keynote.
