Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan
On Thursday, the European Commission will present a Beating Cancer Plan for Europe in the special committee on Beating Cancer. ECR BECA Coordinator and first vice-chair of the committee Joanna Kopcinska comments: “World Cancer Day is a special day on our calendar, no matter the circumstances. For almost a year, the world has been fighting the coronavirus pandemic, and yet we must not forget that other diseases have not disappeared. The European Plan to Fight Cancer will be presented in the coming week, and this is a very important initiative that reminds us at this difficult time that cancer is the second leading cause of death in the EU. World Cancer Day in the Covid-19 pandemic is a call for the greatest solidarity in human history in the fight against threats to human life and health.”
When: Thursday @ 4.45 pm
