Green Week
During Green Week, from 26 – 30 May, most of the MEPs will be
working in their constituencies.
Parliamentary business will resume on 2 June.
ECR participation in EP delegations
ECR Members will take part in a series of official missions across Europe and
beyond.
Bogdan Rzońca will head a delegation from the Petitions Committee to southern Spain,
where visits to Algeciras, Barbate and Seville will focus on the conditions
faced by security forces combating drug trafficking.
Meanwhile, Johan Van Overtveldt will lead a Budget Committee mission to Montenegro, joined
by Michele Picaro, to discuss the country’s EU accession path.
In Denmark, ECR representatives will participate in two separate visits: Georgiana
Teodorescu joins discussions in Copenhagen on employment policy, while Bert-Jan
Ruissen MEP will be part of a fisheries-focused delegation and engage with
local industry stakeholders in preparation for the upcoming Danish Council
presidency.
On the Canary Island of El Hierro, Nicolas Bay and Diego Solier will help assess
migration flows on the Western African route as part of a LIBE fact-finding
trip.
Further afield, Ivaylo Valchev travels to Los Angeles with a CULT delegation to explore
the challenges facing the creative industries, and Laurence Trochu will
contribute to a FEMM Committee mission examining the long-term effects of
post-conflict trauma on women and girls in Cyprus following the Turkish
invasion.
Finally, Sebastien Tynkkynen will be part of the EP delegation to Kinshasa in the
Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) on a fact-finding mission, where the
focus will be on how the EU might help address the crisis in the east of the
country.
