Poznań Economic Congress; AGRI mission to Brazil; PETI mission to Madeira; Green Week
Poznań Economic Congress
The ECR Group is a partner of the Poznań Economic Congress, which will take place on 27-28 October 2025 in Poznań, Poland. The event will include a keynote speech from President Karol Nawrocki, who took office as Poland’s head of state in August. There will also be an address by Mateusz Morawiecki, Prime Minister of Poland 2017-2023 and the President of the ECR Party. The Poznań Economic Congress will include two days of panel discussions on a range of issues relevant to European politics and the ECR Group, including competitiveness, energy security, national sovereignty and migration management. AGRI mission to Brazil
A delegation from the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development will visit Brazil from 27 to 30 October 2025. The purpose of the mission is to meet with local authorities and farmers. The visit comes at an important moment, just ahead of the expected signing of a trade agreement with the Mercosur countries. During the mission, MEPs will visit the world’s largest animal protein company to hear firsthand how the local meat processing industry operates. ECR MEP and Chair of the AGRI Committee Veronika Vrecionová, will be joined by ECR MEP Georgiana Teodorescu on the mission.

PETI mission to Madeira
From 27 to 29 October, a delegation from the Committee on Petitions will visit Madeira, Portugal, to examine the shortage of affordable housing and the growing threat of seasonal wildfires. The mission, led by PETI Chair and ECR MEP Bogdan Rzońca, will include visits to several housing projects funded through the EU’s Recovery and Resilience Plan.
MEPs will also meet with representatives of the civil protection services and regional authorities responsible for forest management, focusing on the impact of recent devastating wildfires and discussing prevention and response measures at both local and EU levels. In addition, the delegation will meet with citizens who submitted petitions to the Committee.

Green Week
It is “Green Week” in the European Parliament. MEPs are in their constituencies or taking part in Parliamentary missions. Regular parliamentary business will resume on Monday 3 November.
