ECR MEPs meet in Sofia
Bulgaria, where an ECR member party plays a vibrant and pivotal role in the coalition government, is the setting for an ECR bureau meeting next week. Members of our Group will gather in Sofia for discussions ranging from the importance of nuclear energy to the enlargement perspective of the Western Balkans. MEPs will also visit the Bulgarian parliament and hold discussions with senior government officials.

Beyond Bricks and Mortar: Rebuilding Ukrainian Society
On Tuesday, ECR MEPs Michał Dworczyk and Reinis Pozņaks will host a panel discussion on rebuilding Ukrainian society, beyond just bricks and mortar. Organised in cooperation with the New Lines Institute for Strategy and Policy, the event will present the key findings of the report “Rebuilding Ukrainian Society: A Call for Proactive Policy Planning.” The panel will bring together distinguished experts, policymakers, and practitioners to address the urgent challenges of Ukraine’s recovery. Key themes will include the reintegration of soldiers, support for children and youth, psychosocial consequences of war, conflict-related sexual violence, environmental crimes, and the role of art and culture in rebuilding communities.
