Exchange of views on the Digital Markets Act (DMA)

The Internal Market and Consumer Protection Committee will hold an exchange of views with Commission Vice-President Margrethe Vestager, experts and industry representatives on the implementation of the Digital Markets Act (DMA). The first effects of the new legislation will be discussed, such as the so-called “self-referencing” and the impact on app stores. The ECR believes in strong competition as a fundamental element of the single market, but the enforcement of the new law must not undermine the user experience.
