On Tuesday MEP Johan Nissinen will host a workshop discussing the increasing gang-criminality and attacks on emergency services personnel on the streets of Sweden.

As a citizen, you risk being in the line of fire almost every day when gang elements start shooting on the streets or in the shopping malls. What perspective can we use from other EU-countries to fight this undesired development? How is Belgium dealing with gang criminality?

The workshop will host Guest speaker Mr Saad Amrani, Chief Commissioner and strategic advisor of the Commissioner General of the Belgian Federal police, who will describe the situation on the streets in Belgium. Mr. Amrani will discuss the measurements and strategy that the Belgian Federal Police is taking to counteract radicalization, criminality and society’s naivety about the prevailing dynamics. The workshop will take place in room WIE 08U107, @ 11:00 - 13:00.
