On Tuesday, ECR MEP Nora Junco Garcia will host an event the recent crisis in Ceuta.
Ceuta is an external border of the European Union under sustained pressure. In August, thousands of people entered the city within a matter of hours, and the pressure has not eased since.
Two speakers will offer their perspectives on the situation:
• Juan Ruiz, a citizen of Ceuta who experiences the situation first-hand.
• Taleb Alisalem, political analyst, who will explain the broader implications for the European Union.
The discussion will focus on two key questions: what happened in August, and what is the current situation in Ceuta?
