Conference: The price of weakness

On Wednesday, ECR MEP Reinis POZŅAKS will host a high-level conference, "The price of weakness".

While Ukraine is paying the ultimate price, Europe continues to talk. It’s time to turn words into action.

The conference will bring together top speakers to discuss how Europe should respond to the ongoing war in Ukraine and key strategies to address Russian aggression in 2025.

The conference will feature two panel discussions—one focusing on military strategies and the other on societal impacts.

Additionally, a short 20-minute film by Ukrainian producers will be screened. The film Nadija is a true story about a Ukrainian woman who loses her parents and fiancé during the full-scale invasion. Alone and expecting a child, she shows incredible strength and resilience, symbolizing the courage of Ukrainians.

The conference will be held in the European Parliament, room SPAAK 7C50.

The conference will also include a social media campaign in collaboration with European human rights organizations. This campaign will spread awareness about the event and encourage people to download the Ukrainian air raid siren app to experience the daily fear Ukrainians live with.

The event will be live-streamed on the ECR Group’s Facebook page.
