"An EU Space Act fit for SMEs".

On Tuesday evening, ECR MEP and Rapporteur on the EU Space Act, Elena Donazzan, together with ECR MEP and Member of the ITRE Working Group on Space, Diego Solier, will host an event focused on the upcoming EU Space Act.

The European Space Act will shape the future governance, competitiveness, and strategic autonomy of Europe’s space sector. As global competition intensifies and the EU seeks to secure independent access to space-based services, it is essential that Parliament contributes to a precise, informed, and balanced debate ahead of the legislative deadlines.

This parliamentary hearing aims to provide Members with a comprehensive overview of key industrial perspectives on the EU Space Act, with particular emphasis on the regulation’s impact on SMEs and mid-cap companies, in order to support a predictable and innovation-friendly regulatory environment.

The discussion is expected to deliver structured, well-informed, and text-oriented input to support Parliament’s work on the EU Space Act, with specific attention to provisions affecting SMEs and mid-caps active in the space sector.
