Event: Invincible Spirit: Soviet time dissidents against Russian imperialism

On Tuesday, ECR MEPs Prof Ryszard Legutko, Anna Fotyga and Alexandr Vondra will host a group of special guests to the European Parliament, anti-Communist dissidents who have successfully fought Soviet imperialism in their respective countries.

The group of humble heroes who hail from Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia, including Crimean Tatars and Chechens too, will gather in Brussels to share their desire for liberty and to protest against the new wave of Russian Imperialism. Some of them are well known to the public, some have reached the highest positions in their respective countries. In some cases, their heroism remains inadequately recognised. Many have also had to flee their homeland seeking political asylum worldwide. The event aims to celebrate the “Invincible Spirit” of those who fought against the shadows of the past and continue to light the way towards a brighter future.
