Thursday 27 March @ 10:00 - 12:00 CET
On Thursday 27 March, ECR Co-Chair Nicola Procaccini will host a conference focusing on the current status of nuclear fusion research in Europe, exploring both the timing and development opportunities available.
The event will feature contributions from representatives of DG Energy and the Fusion Industry Association. A key highlight will be the discussion of findings from a recent report authored by Professor Piero Martin, a distinguished Professor of Experimental Physics at the University of Padua.
Professor Martin’s research centers on plasma physics and nuclear fusion, and his latest study examines the maturity of nuclear fusion research and its potential role in facilitating a secure, sustainable, and innovative energy transition. As Europe seeks to enhance its energy security, reduce reliance on external energy sources, and meet ambitious climate targets, this discussion is particularly timely.
