On Wednesday 10 April, ECR MEPs Andrey Slabakov and Pietro Fiocchi will host a panel discussion on youth and sports in the EU.

The discussion will center on the challenges that sports must overcome, in order to involve more children and young people in a healthy, active lifestyle and in competition. The experiences of various sports will be represented by Olympic and World championship competitors and medalists from many fields, with the special participation of Hristo Stoichkov, winner of the Golden Shoe and the Ballon d’Or.

A keynote speech will be delivered by Iliana Ivanova, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth.

The event will take place on Wednesday 10 April @ 15:00 - 17:00 in room SPAAK 1A2 in the European Parliament.

Interpretation will be available in English, Bulgarian and Italian.
