Wednesday 25 October 2023 @ 10:00 - 12:30 CET
On Wednesday October 25, from 10:00 to 12:30 in room SPAAK 6B1 of the European Parliament, a summit will be held to address Supply Chain Challenges and Solutions in Wind Energy and Alternatives for the EU.
Supply problems with the far East during the pandemic, the dramatic increase in energy prices after the pandemic, and the effects of the Ukraine-Russia war have increased the demand for the wind energy sector in the EU Region at an unprecedented rate. In response to this demand, it is known that the most important bottleneck on the supply side is supply chain problems. In order to support the energy supply security of the EU Region and accelerate the transition to the targeted renewable energy, it is important that the manufacturing capabilities of partners, which is the 3rd strongest wind industry in the region, can be directly transferred to the countries in the region. The main purpose of the summit, which is planned from this point of view, is to increase the awareness of the EU region countries about potential partners’ existing industrial infrastructure, to increase the bilateral trade volume, and to direct new investments to neighboring countries.
