The Energy Transition in the EU – what are the benefits?

On Friday, ECR Group Co-Chair Patryk Jaki will host an event on the EU energy transition. Organised in the historic Piast Castle in Racibórz, Silesia, Poland, the conference will bring together Members of the European Parliament, policymakers, experts and representatives of different sectors to discuss the future of Europe’s energy policy, the challenges of the current transition, and the opportunities it may create for European citizens, industry and Member States.

The programme will examine whether the European Commission’s current energy strategy is delivering on its objectives, how much of the EU’s energy transition is driven by political and ideological considerations, and what decisions are needed to safeguard Europe’s energy security. Speakers will also discuss the economic costs of the transition, including its implications for industry, workers and Member States, as well as the role of renewable energy and emerging energy technologies.
