What future for the digital euro?

On Tuesday, 14 October, the ECR Group will host an expert policy roundtable to discuss the future of the Digital Euro.

This timely discussion comes as Europe is in the midst of assessing the Digital Euro — a retail central bank digital currency, meaning public digital money issued by the European Central Bank.

The roundtable will explore both the theory and policy behind the Digital Euro, as well as its potential impact on daily life. Is the Digital Euro a threat, or an opportunity?

The policy discussion will feature contributions from MEPs, economists, and academics.

The keynote address will be delivered by Piero Cipollone, member of the Executive Board of the European Central Bank.

When: Tuesday 14 October @ 9:30 - 12:30
