Event: Quo Vadis, Albania? Between Democracy and Authoritarianism

On Tuesday, ECR MEP Arkadiusz Mularczyk, Former European Parliament Vice-President Ryszard Czarnecki, and Mr. Juxhin Gjoni from the Eugenius Foundation will host a discussion on Albania’s democratic trajectory. With national elections set for 11 May 2025, Albania faces a pivotal moment in its European integration. Recent years have seen concerns over electoral transparency, institutional integrity, and external influences. The 2023 local elections raised questions about the fairness of the process, highlighting the need for stronger democratic safeguards. Event: Security and Justice in the AI ERA – challenges and opportunities for image and video forensics

On Tuesday afternoon, ECR MEPs Francesco Torselli and Elena Donazzan will host a roundtable discussion to explore the challenges and opportunities emerging from the use of AI technologies in the field of digital evidence. The event is organised in collaboration with Amped Software, an Italian company and global leader in forensic image and video analysis. The event will address the challenges and opportunities presented by new technologies in the field of digital evidence. This discussion will highlight the importance of supporting both experienced and less technically skilled professions in engaging with digital forensic data, ensuring security and justice in an AI-driven world.
