The Law and Justice party is a national-conservative and Christian democratic political party in Poland. The party was founded in 2001 by Lech and Jaroslaw Kaczynski. Jarosław Kaczynski, the current leader of the Law and Justice party, served as Prime Minister of Poland from July 2006 to November 2007. His brother Lech Kaczynski was elected President of Poland in 2005 before his death in the Polish Air Force TU-154 crash in April 2010. The party stands for a social market economy with strong focus on the agricultural sector and strongly opposes corruption, waste of public money and a federal EU with more integration. With 237 seats in the Sejm and 66 in the Senate, it is currently the largest party in the Polish parliament.
